Liliana Ellena e Vincenza Perrilli presentano il nuovo Quaderno Viola "La straniera" . Informazioni sito-bibliografie e ragionamenti su sessismo e razzismo curato da Chiara Bonfiglioli, Lidia Cirillo, Laura Corradi, Barbara De Vivo, Sara Farris e Vincenza Perrilli
Come il primo, anche il secondo numero dei Quaderni Viola si propone di fornire dati elementari di conoscenza, bibliografie e sitografie per chi desideri poi approfondire, spiegazioni brevi ma capaci di orientare un lavoro politico. Il tema del razzismo è esaminato nelle sue intersezioni con il gender and class, as in the first issue the subject of this study was analyzed in the intersections with gender and migrant status. The intersections between the various reports of oppression have become increasingly important in international feminist research. In this booklet are offered concrete examples of how genere-classe-razza/etnia/cultura-generazione help to determine positions in the social hierarchy of oppression, but also new opportunities to speak out. In order to investigate some of the historical forms in which the concept of race was created and used, the first part of the book analyzes some key moments: anti-Semitism and scientizzazione the category of race, racism anti-Roma, colonialism and, in particular, the Italian colonial racism and anti-Southern. The debate on the concept of intersectional, the role attributed to each component of the triad of "race-gender-class" is enriched in the years of contributions and an increasing number of reflections. The second part, therefore, provides the coordinates and theoretical literature to guide you in this debate and to deal with a more circumspect, the entire plot problem that is the subject of the book. Finally, the third and final part focuses on the forms taken by contemporary racism in Italy, especially in their gender variations. Immigrants and immigrants have become / e the main target of xenophobic rhetoric and practice. However, in addition to explicit discourse, the contemporary racism is disguised behind narrative mainly "defensive" to assert that more and more are exploiting women, and not Italian. It is mainly these narratives today to sneak in the conscience and is, therefore, the deconstruction of them that we must begin to expose the racist and misogynist.
